Pioneer Square
This is a composite made from several photographs I took of the Pioneer Square area in Seattle, Wa. I cleaned up the various photos, and combined them using layer masks.

A pear wine ad
This is an ad for a small winery, Smyth Cellars. It needed to incorperate a fruit label, a wine glass, orchards, pears, and natural media. I wanted to recreate the look of an older fruit label for the entire ad. I choise an old fashioned font that I have seen used frequently on fruit labels, and recreated a 40's look for my pear label.

A pear label
I wanted to recreat the look of a 40's fruit label. I painted the pears and leaves with watercolors, and scanned them into photoshop. The orchard picture is a composite of four different pictures. I than applied a filter to make the image look like an oil painting.

BCC group graphic
This is a composite graphic I put together using different photographs I had taken. This was originally designed to be part of a web page mock up for Bellevue Community College.

A collage
This is a basic collage, using five different images. I selected parts of all of the images, which are displayed on the left hand frame. I adjusted each one using filters, or contrast. I resized and rotated them to make up the composition I wanted.

A candy ad, with 3D characters
This is a collage, that incorperates the usage of 2D characters that have been made to look like 3D characters using photoshop. This is achieved by creating a path for each part of the original image, and than using the airbrush tool on each seperate layer to create a 3D look. The candy and text were added to give the piece the look of a candy ad.

3D Party
I started with a 2d outline drawing, and made my characters take on a 3D look. I isolated each different body part as a path, and worked on it seperately on it's own layer. I used the airbrush tool with white and black to add highlights and shadows. I wanted them to look like they were beginning to fall down, so I rotated their feet up, and put their arms in the air. below is the outline drawing I started with.
